Misha's First Bite

Someone started rice cereal this week! I don't have to really write anything. The video and pics speak for themselves. Check it out!

Just in case you missed any part of the video or were unclear as to wether she enjoyed her cereal or not:

Happy Baby! "Finally, I get to really EAT!"

"Wait..."

"What the heck?"

"This is TERRIBLE! What IS this stuff? I thought I was getting CEREAL not mushy CARDBOARD!?"

...A few seconds later...

"I survived!"

Buzzzzzz

Saturday we tried to get Marek's hair cut but the place we normally go to was packed. So Matt convinced me when we came home to buzz his hair. I reluctantly gave in. His hair was going past his eyes - this was a pity consent. The first couple of buzzes I was silently crying. It was so sad. My baby is now a little BOY!

First cuts.

All done. You can still see some hair on his shoulders. (pic was taken with camera phone)

All cleaned up. No more hair and no more baby. He's all grown up! (again, camera phone)

Lake Elsinore? No, its Menifee!

Went to visit my friend Melissa and her little girl Corissa today out in Lake Elsinore, actually its called Menifee. She just bought a new house and its gorgeous! I really like the area a lot. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little nervous that we'd end up driving forever on the 15 without passing so much as a gas station but that is sooooo not the case! It's so nice and there are tons of stores, restaurants and people! I can't say it enough but I really did enjoy our little trip and the area. When Misha gets a little older I want to go to the lake that is near their house. So you'll probably see a future lake post on here!

Sit back and relax and enjoy! The adventures of Marek and Corissa are about to begin!

They mostly played in the backyard in this giant kiddie pool. Marek loved it and found his new love - fishing!

Won't try real fish but he'll try a plastic one?

Took over on the fishing pool, took over on the fish and now took over on the cup. Jeez Mare, little toy hog :-)

"Nope Corissa, its not your turn." Must collect every toy in pool.

"You can't have it Melissa, but can you fix it for me?"

Per Corissa: Get this toy hoarder out of MY pool!

In addition to toy fishing poles, Marek enjoys to hoard your pots and pans and will probably comb his hair with a kitchen utensil (saw that he was doing this as I was resizing the photo - WAY after the fact. Sorry Melissa!).

So...when can we descend on your house?

360 Degrees Around

Guess who rolled over? She has been able to roll onto her tummy for a while, but it only happened every so often. So today she just kept doing it. She kept rolling over to get to a toy. Over and over until she reached her destination. I have a video of it but haven't uploaded it from the video camera yet...but here's a pic.

Big Bear Lake...attack of Princess Peanut von Misharoo

Marek loves coming here as you know. He had this box waiting for him on his first morning in Big Bear.

Misha and her Nana. No really. Zara loves her and Marek so much. She's so gentle and good with them and follows them EVERYWHERE - just like a good Nana.

Wish she did more of this on the trip. It was a little difficult the first few nights to get her to sleep on her schedule. (love the cheeks!)

Her first real giggle session. Zara was throwing a toy in the air and catching it and Misha, out of nowhere, laughed so loud, big belly roll laughs. We were all cracking up!

Love bug in her chair.

Marek, aka Mozart. The man LOVES the piano!

My poor parents living room turned into Marek's storage area for all of their pots and pans. If he becomes a famous chef, we have no one to blame but my parents :-)

My mom is going to kill me for posting this picture, but look at all their faces as my dad flips the crepe (yes, they have a stove, but he loves to cook outdoors). Oh, and the crepes were AMAZING!

Zara, Misha's nana, loving on her, even if all she can reach are her toes!

Splish Splash! Since Zara killed the exercise pool (long story), Marek got to enjoy this little pool in its place.

Did I mention 80 pound Labradors make excellent lap dogs?

Zoo time with Gamma!

Floor time!

Hey, if one couch has pots and pans, then the other one shall too!

My little stud eating his PB & J on his very OWN table.

Gamma and Misharoo

**Disclaimer**
Please note that we do put Misha in girl clothes. But the only warm PJ's I have are Marek's old ones. Sorry little roo but that's what happens when you're number two!

Happy Father's Day!

This year I decided to make something for Matt to put on his desk for Father's Day. He had been slightly harassing me for pics of the kids soooo I took my first of (hopefully several!) Photo Shop lessons from the wonderfully talented, Michelle Boyaner, to come up with this little family collage:

As you can plainly see, I definitely need WAY MORE lessons. The little father's day tag on the lower right was placed there because I couldn't get a picture to work and didn't really think Matt would want me to send his mouse into his uber expensive computer screen in frustration.

***
On the other hand, my artistically-gifted son drew his own Father's Day gift from scratch:

But alas, he has his crazy Mother's cleaning gene so after he was done drawing and coloring, he decided he would help me clean up. So he put the crayons back in the box:

...and dumped them out again...

...and back in the box, etc. About 5 times until mommy distracted him with a cookie and hid the box of crayons.

***
This Father's Day was the first Father's Day with our family complete. 2 parents and 2 kids. The kids and I just want to say: Thank you to our fabulous hubby/dada who works his tail off so I can stay home and raise our children (and hide crayon boxes!). You are an amazing friend, partner, husband, father any woman could ask for! We love you!

Mother's Day Visitors

My sister, brother-in-law, oldest nephew and niece all happened to be out in California for Mother's Day this year. It was so much fun having everyone here. Makes me want to figure out a way to get them all back here again so we can take a picture of everyone this time! I only have pictures of the girls...so you can tell which family members were going nuts over Misha! :-)

Tami and Marek at Huntington Beach by the pier

Another pic of auntie and nephew :-)

Tami, spit up towel and Misha. haha!

Ashley and Misha, about 2 seconds before she smiled.

I LOVE this pic. Everyone is smiling with their mouth open. Its so funny!
