Christmas and 8 Months Preggers

Here is what Marek got for Christmas...

...and here is what Mama got for Christmas. Eight Months Preggers!

Just what I asked Santa for!!!

Christmas sure is tiring!

A walk with my Mama will wake me up.

And later that evening...

Apparently, Santa leaves an Elf to put together all the toys he dropped off.

The next morning...

Santa's Elf rocks at putting things together!

Hair Cut

No, not Marek's first hair cut, but my first hair cut in a LONG time. I always do this. I get to the point of where I have fairly long hair, then I go in, only intending to get a trim and I end up chopping it all off. I chopped off so much that my stylist said if I waited another month or two I could have donated to "locks of love." So here is my right-before-christmas-and-thousands-of-pictures disaster:

I think my hair is only a touch longer than Marek's. New Year's Resolution: Get Marek a hair cut...just in time for thousands of pictures with his sister.

29 weeks and two days

Here she is our little girl!

Everything looks great. My placenta moved up and out of the way (thank you god!) and there's enough fluid around her so no c-section for Mama! Hip Hip Hooray!! On the semi-badish side, she's measuring BIG for her age. If you look at me you'd think she would be tiny tiny tiny, but according to the ultrasound she's a big girl. So it looks like we'll be induced at around 38 weeks. My doctor is playing-it-by-ear as the weeks go on so we'll know more soon enough! I obviously would love it if she took her sweet time and came two weeks late, but since Marek was an early bird, she'll probably be early too. And if these contractions are any indicator, she'll come hard and fast into this world. Bummer for me, great for her! Now to really start getting ready...

Barricade

Marek's new favorite thing to do in the morning is barricade his Dad from leaving the house. I told Matt that he should call Kim and just tell her that "sorry I can't make it in because I physically am unable to open the front door."

Next steps: learn to barricade Dad from the office (in the house) :-)

Thanksgiving

Had Thanksgiving in Big Bear this year. We are thankful for so many things, but mostly for my Canon camera and being "at the right place at the right time"

I don't think any picture can sum up "thankfulness" anymore than this one can:

7 Months

Hello third trimester. Wow. Can't believe we are already here. Sooooo not ready! And I'm mostly not ready because I know I'll be giving up sleep, alone time with Matt, one-on-one time with Marek, longer showers...my list could go on and on...

On to happier thoughts!

Marek makes the cutest faces. He continues to do this squinty face and give you his 'stare.' No idea where he got this from until my mom showed me pictures when I was a kid doing the same faces! I'll have to get those photos from my mom, but in the meantime, here's Marek's classic faces:

Marek and Uncle Larry. Or should we call him Marek's pony? ;-)

Glucola Part Deux

I LOVE YOU COCA-COLA! If you weren't a favorite drink before, you just became my number one! Preggers everywhere, listen up: DO NOT drink the 'Orange' flavored Glucola. Get the 'Cola' flavored Glucola to take your Gestational Diabetes test. I drank the Cola one in less than 30 seconds (make sure it's cold).

This is me right after I drank it. No way would I have been able to make this happy face with the orange flavored drink. I would have been too busy guzzling water.

Even my blood draw was better this time around. No swollen purple arm from the East German javelin thrower. I got a very nice lady who didn't even make me use the giant cotton ball and tape (I HATE the tape. It rips a little of my skin off every time, so I usually just ask for the cotton ball and apply pressure for a little bit. Stops the bleeding every time).

6 Months and Counting...

Marek wanted to be apart of the pics (you can see his fingers and tootsies).

My official 6 month photo. I'm actually a couple days over 6 months or 24 weeks here but who's really counting right?

Can't believe this little girl is going to be born in less than 4 months! We'll have some more ultrasound pics on November 18th to post. I'll also get checked then to see if the placenta previa has gone away. Pray it has. I'm not looking forward to a c-section. Although, I do like that its scheduled and I don't have to push for hours and get super tired. Oh and percoset works beautifully in my body. It takes the pain away without giving me fuzzy brain. Hmmm...maybe a c-section would be kinda nice...

Stay tuned...

Halloween!

Marek was a dinosaur for Halloween. This is the only picture we have of him with the "head" on.

See. No more "head." But really the tail part was super cute!

Family portrait with our little triceratops trying to wiggle away.

Went Trick-or-Treating in Newport with the Ross'. Koko the pumpkin attacking Marek the dinosaur. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Over the River and Through the Woods to Grandma's House We Go!

Another Big Bear trip for some much needed R&R. I'm supposed to be on partial bed rest these days (unexplained cramping/contracting and placenta previa) so heading up to Big Bear for a little extra help (and sleep!) was completely awesome.

Getting into my favorite toy chest: the pots and pans. Tati isn't too happy about this. Neither is Zara.

Playing ball with Zara and Gamma, notice the ever-present favorite pot and lid in the background (see arrow).

My parents new baby: Zara. She's four months old and had a BLAST with Marek!

P.S. I don't think I'm cutout for bed rest. I took about 50 million pictures and none of them were from the couch or a bed. :-(

My First Soccer Lesson

Marek had his first soccer lesson this weekend. He did manage to dribble the ball a little bit but kept picking the ball up and running back to his stroller. Apparently the stroller and all the toys hanging off of it (which he hasn't really seemed that interested in up until now) captured his attention more than the soccer ball. But hey, he did dribble!!

More interested in his toy, than his Mama.

Giving his soccer hero a hug.

Dribbling!

Look at those amazing soccer toes!

Chasing Dad

Woooo, check out the tree...

Stroller appears to be 'cooler' than the ball.

Maybe a goalie?

Look Mom, a ball!!
