The Bear

Gabby is known as the bear for a couple of reasons.  One, she is cute and cuddly like a teddy bear and two, she is a terrorist going after anything and everything like a real bear.  Exhibit A: I came home to today for lunch only to find the little a**hole chewing on my NEW couch!  As I'm scolding her, she's looking up at me with the cutest brown eyes.  I broke down, picked her up and told her not to do it again.  (Needless to say, my kid will get away with A LOT.)

She's such a cute little brat.  I just love her so much.  And Matt is absolutely crazy about that dog.  I think its going to be a bit hard for him when the baby comes along and he'll have to chose baby over dog.  But knowing Gabby, she'll worm her way in to whatever it is we are doing...

Introductions

I know everyone who is reading this blog really only cares about Baby B (except for maybe my parents who are in love with Bruisy and Gabby) so I thought I'd take some time to update you all...

Baby B is 19 1/2 weeks right now. Little man or woman has been fluttering and kicking like crazy. I mostly notice it around 9:00am, again around 2:00pm and right before dinner. I'll be honest, I used to think it was weird that a little person could move around INSIDE you - its so Aliens. But when it actually happens to you, it brings the biggest smile to your face and all you want to feel is the kicks again. So weird. I seriously walk around work all day with this enormous grin on my face. I'm already attached and its still in me!

Cravings:

Hmmmm. What don't I crave?! Well maybe chicken. Nasty stuff. For lunch I ate a big salami and prosciutto sandwich, tortilla chips with spicy salsa, and a big piece of strawberry flavored birthday cake. I then went back to work and ate string cheese and yogurt. Yeah. I think I'm craving everything in sight. (back to lunch meat: I know the baby books say not to eat it but tough shit. I need my salami and prosciutto. I will go nuts without it. Its my fav.)

The only baby gear I have so far is a place to put the kid to sleep. Other than that I haven't stalked up on anything yet. Its kind of hard though since we are moving a month before I'm due so there's almost no point to get all this stuff just to move it...

My First Post

I never thought I of all people would start a blog.  Actually I have one person to blame.  You know who you are ;-)

I guess it makes sense though - this whole blogging thing that is.  Everyone seems to be so busy these days and living far away that it makes sense to start a blog.  I just hope I can keep it up!

I might as well put a disclosure in here again.  This is my promise to my readers:

1. I'm horrible at grammar and spelling - but I will try to hit spell check every time I post.

2. I will try to write in here on a weekly basis - if I can't write, then I will at least post a pic of something.

3. I will try to figure out how to make my layout more exciting - with the help of my most talented husband!
